Youth Spotlight

The Somali Canadian Association’s Youth Mentorship Program has successfully completed another year. Our spotlight for this year is Saeed Hussein’s Capelli Curls.

Business information: Founded by Saeed Hussein, Capelli Curls was created with the idea of making a space where everyone is welcome to embrace their natural curls. Our mission is to make everyone feel confident and beautiful in their own skin with the help of our natural hair products. We believe that everyone should have access to quality hair care, and we strive to provide that to our customers. Come join us on our journey to embrace natural curls by supporting our small black-owned business.

Testimony: The Somali Canadian Association Youth Mentorship Program (YMP) was an amazing opportunity to meet with local entrepreneurs who are aiming to expand their business by getting the necessary information needed through the monthly workshops ran by the intelligent and experienced mentors. A lot of us knew very little about business going into the program, but this 10 month long mentorship really helped improve our marketing and speaking skills. I highly recommend small business owners join if given the opportunity.
